On Sept. 22, from 5 to 7 p.m., Faenza celebrates World Astronomy Day with a City Tour “From the Bendandi House Museum to the Rione Nero,” an initiative that is also part of “Sundays for Science and Art.”
Linking art and science will be the figures of Raffaele Bendandi (the father of telluric predictions) and Goffredo Gaeta, friends, rather than acquaintances, who hung out with each other since their youth, about whom unpublished details are now emerging.
The walking tour will touch upon the Bendandi House Museum, where the door made by Gaeta’s daughters Claudia and Flavia will be visited, and the Rione Nero, to which the master potter was always close, even holding the position of rione chief in the 1960s.
Precisely in the headquarters of the Porta Ravegnana ward is a work by Gaeta dedicated to the Manfreda joust.
A video interview with Gaeta conducted by MIC will be screened at the same venue.
